epiphany

Epiphany has a few meanings, it can be a sudden revelation or it can relate to the feast of the epiphany which within christianity in Britain falls on the 6 january, the twelfth day of Christmas. For some this is the day to take down their tree.

On June 18 2013 Walt Disney was granted by the Trademark Office the name 'snow white' as a trademark. Therefore all usage pertaining to live and recorded movie, television, radio, stage, computer, internet, news and photographic entertainment uses, except literature works of fiction and non-fiction.

Mark the artist taxi driver has an epiphany.

Robert Gilmour operates a store in Kilmarnock, VA and at his death wills to his son a house “at the end of the bridge in Kilmarnock, Scotland”. Both Hazard and Gilmour are closely associated with the name choice of Kilmarnock.

Manet and me                                                                          

Cut flowers are essentially dying flowers maybe even dead. At the end of his life Edoaurd Manet was bed ridden with ill health. Friends would visit the artist and bring him flowers which he painted. In all before his death he painted 17 of these flower paintings. The Burrell collection has one of these paintings 'pink and yellow rose in champagne glass'. There is a certain amount of immortality attributed to these paintings and I suppose you could say that by depicting death he achieved some kind of immortality. 

So I have taken a selfie with the painting to do something with it.
